ABOUT US
In 1985 seven women from around the Metro DC area came together to create the Pleiades Art Jewelry group. The name references the story of the Seven Sisters of Greek myth, which also gives its name to the Orion star cluster. This “sisterhood” of local art jewelers support one another, share information and provide a showcase for their work in an annual weekend exhibition and sale.
Since this time the group has grown to include a roster of local guest artists from Maryland, Virginia, DC and beyond. Our members and guests are represented in private collections, galleries and museums, including the Renwick Museum of Contemporary Art in Washington DC.
